Artwork

Sending art via e-mail:

PDF files are about the easiest way for submitting art and have proven to be the most reliable when sent correctly.

One color printing. Send one .pdf file. Art should be black on white, even if printing is to be in a color.

Two color printing. Art must be separated with both colors shown in one file. Colors should be described in nonprinting area of file. Everything in file must be black on white. Remember you are producing artwork, our presses will use colored ink.

Postscript (.ps)  Files can be saved as a .ps file. This method has proven to be very successful. Use only CMYK colors in you art. Separations will automatically be produced in our system.  Describe actual ink colors in nonprinting image area.

Tiff logos. Art can be saved as a .tif file. Art should be saved as black line art with a minimum of 600 dpi. For two color work, save two files and describe actual ink colors in nonprinting image area.

CorelDraw® files work very well provided all text is converted to curves before being submitted. This will eliminate typestyle problems from your system to ours.

EPS. files will offer another choice for some customers. Art can be same colors as actual printed piece and will usually separate automatically on our end.

Publisher®, PageMaker® and Qurke® files generally should be exported out as a .PDF file because of our inability to match your fonts.

Supplying fonts is not a preferred method because of licensing.

Sending disks. Disks can be submitted but should be IBM format. All rules above apply. If your customer gives you a disk, please check art for quality before submitting for production.

Files should be sent via e-mail to either address bct2011@att.net or bct2011@aol.com A completed confirmation order form should be faxed to 1-800-553-3104 with a copy of artwork for a comparison check to verify art quality.
